Build a larger field of view of the tissue sample under microscopic observation by merely navigating the slide with a manual stage. Normally, the tissue sample is observed through a small field of view under the microscope. In contrast, Panoptiq captures the fields of view as you observe the tissue sample and automatically stitches them “on the fly” into one panoramic image. At any time, you can navigate and save the panoramic image on the computer through our user-friendly interface. With desktop sharing software, You can even share the live view of the panoramic image for live consultations, tumor boards, and education.

Share the Big Picture

In conjunction with screen sharing software, Panoptiq™ is the perfect tele-pathology system for real-time shared viewing of the glass slide. The local microscope user first creates a low power mosaic of the entire slide in a matter of seconds. Then, the remote user can instantaneously communicate on regions of interest with the completed scan. With real-time current view tracking, the remote user never loses track and always knows exactly where the local user is currently viewing.

At regions of interest, the local microscope user can switch to higher power objectives for a clearer view of the ROI’s. With user-friendly objective profile selection, objective switching is made easy for the microscope user and minimizes workflow interruptions.

With Panoptiq™, the whole slide scan at low power (i.e. 4x) and the region of interest at high power (i.e. 40x) can be saved for archival or consultation purposes. This combination of images is typically less than 25MB of data storage per slide, which is over 100 times less than a typical whole slide scan at over 2-3 GB per slide! Images from Panoptiq™ can be conveniently shared with free slide hosting services or even sent via email.

Refocus the Image

Detect an out-of-focus portion in the panoramic image? Just return to that portion of the slide and readjust the focus with your microscope – the software automatically detects a better focus and replaces the out-of-focus portion. The Panoptiq™ system preserves the best focus achieved on the panoramic image, even if the slide is observed again at a sub-optimal focus.
